The service also builds on the successful acquisition of a controlling stake of 97.12 percent in its QNB Al Ahli operations in Egypt (formerly NSGB).
“Whether you are a Qatari citizen or an Egyptian resident expat in Qatar, Al Safwa services will offer you the most convenient way to benefit from free premium banking services through your QNB Al Ahli account in Egypt,” said Heba Al Tamimi, General Manager, QNB Group Retail Banking.
Al Safwa is a QNB package that offers to meet all your Egyptian banking needs and requirements during your stay in Qatar. There is no need to wait for your next trip to Egypt to open a bank account. All you need to do is visit any QNB branch in Qatar and an account will be opened for you at the branch of your choice from among 163 QNB Al Ahli branches in Egypt.
With Al Safwa, both Qatari citizens and Egyptian expats who have their salary transferred to QNB can open any type of account and transfer funds between QNB and QNB Al Ahli accounts in Egypt free of charge.
The service contains many offers such as a free ATM card with a ceiling limit to use anywhere around the world, mortgage and vehicle loan facilities and the Al Safwa clients being allocated a dedicated personal banking relations officer while in Egypt.
