The United Nations General Assembly held yesterday a special session to offer condolences on the death of H H Grandfather Emir Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani.
Peter Thomson, President of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, opened the session to extend condolences. He also praised the
H H Grandfather Emir's role in the development and prosperity of Qatar.
Member states' delegates of the UN General Assembly observed a minute of silence in memory of H H Grandfather Emir Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani.
