Tokyo: Mazda Motor Corporation issued a global recall of about 2.2 million vehicles due to potential problems with rear gates, the company said Thursday.
Japan's fifth-largest carmaker is recalling 394,000 units in Japan and about 1.8 million overseas. The recall affects six models,
including the CX-5 and the Mazda 3 sedan, a statement from the company said.
The carmaker wants to fix a problem that could lead to corrosion on the tailgate, DPA reported today.
Separately, the carmaker is recalling 107,000 vehicles in Japan because of a computer problem with diesel engines.
