DOHA: High humidity the country has been experiencing over the past few days is expected to continue today.
The Meteorology Department yesterday said humidity level would be as high as 75 percent at night and 53 percent in the evening. However, it would increase to 80 percent on Sunday night.
Today’s forecast puts the maximum temperature between 43 and 48 degrees Celsius and the minimum between 29 and 31.
In Doha, day temperature is likely to reach 44 degrees and night temperature to 33.
Al Khor would be the coolest today with the day and night mercury levels hovering over 29 and 40 degrees, respectively.
Abu Samra is expected to witness day temperature of up to 48 degrees, while the mercury would fall to 29 at night.
The department has issued no warning for today but said the weather would be hazy and partly cloudy and misty by night.
Wind direction will be southeasterly to northwesterly with speeds from five to 15 knots.
Offshore, it will be northeasterly to southeasterly with speeds up to 15 knots at times.
Visibility is forecast to be between four and 8km and less than 3km at times.
