Doha: Qatar Islamic Insur-ance Company (QIIC) has disclosed the semi annual financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2013. The financial statements revealed a net profit of QR35.8m compared with QR34.8m for the same period last year, the company said in a statement posted on QE website yesterday.
The company’s earning per share (EPS) amounted to QR2.39 as of June 30, 2013 as against QR2.32 for the corresponding period in 2012.
QOIC net profit at QR13.1m
Doha: Qatar Oman Invest-ment Company (QOIC) reported a first half net profit of QR13.1m for the period ending June 30, 2013, according to a Qatar Exchange notification yesterday.
This figures represents an increase of 3.15 percent in its net profit over QR12.7m reported for the same period in 2012. The company’s earning per share (EPS) was QR0.416 as of June 30 compared to QR0.404 for the corresponding period in 2012.
Qatar bourse index rises by 0.39pc
Doha: Qatar Exchange continued upswing trend yesterday, adding 37.62 points (0.39 percent) to advance to 9,704.98 points from 9,667.36 on Tuesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 2.37 percent to QR177, Qatar Islamic Bank rose 0.58 percent to QR68.90, Ooredoo gained 1.67 percent to QR139.80 and Qatar Fuel was up by 1.59 percent to QR268.
The banking and financial sector index was up 1.20 points, the insurance sector index was up 1.42 points and industrial sector rose 0.27 points.
