Qatar Electricity and Water Co profit rises

DOHA: The Board of Directors of Qatar Electricity and Water Company chaired by H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency and Chairman of the company, adopted the interim condensed financial results for the first half of the fiscal year 2013 (from January 1 to June 30), and the balance sheet for period referred to after it is reviewed by the auditors of the company M/S Deloitte & Touche
The financial statements revealed a net profit of QR637m same as  in 2012. The earning per share (EPS) amounted to QR6.37 in 2013 same as in 2012. The first six months of 2013 witnessed an increase of 2.3 percent in sales (QR1,405m, as against QR1,373m for 2012) and an increase of 4 percent in gross profit (QR624m as against QR600m for 2012).  
The results confirm the success of the company and its Board of Directors in the constant quest to achieve the best results with a financial interest in the development of the company’s performance and increase their investments.
