Doha, Qatar: In a festive atmosphere that captured the spirit of Eid and the warmth of family gatherings, the “hour and hour ” programme concluded the third edition of its blessed Eid Al-Adha event, “Our Warmth in Our Celebration,” with wide participation from families, children, and a number of educational and community institutions.
The evening lasted for hours and succeeded in presenting a vibrant image of Qatari heritage in a contemporary entertainment and cultural format.
The event saw notable public attendance, including elders, children, people with disabilities, and various segments of society. Visitors moved between heritage displays, artistic segments, and interactive corners designed to suit all age groups. The main stage turned into a celebratory space showcasing various forms of folk arts and community performances that revived memories of old Eid celebrations with their simplicity, familiarity, and collective spirit.
The programme opened with the national anthem of the State of Qatar, followed by segments that blended national identity with entertainment, including the Qatari Ardha, Al-Fajr art, Al-Maradah performances, folk chants, musical segments, and live shows presented by school students and community centre affiliates—a scene reflecting the scale of community participation and the spirit of cooperation among various participating institutions.
Children’s activities also attracted wide interest from families, alongside a cultural competition under the slogan “Think and Answer,” popular games, drawing and photography workshops—activities that helped create a lively atmosphere and strengthened the child’s presence within the cultural and social fabric of the event.
For her part, social activist Tamani Al-Yafei, CEO of the “hour and hour ” programme, affirmed that the event stemmed from the programme’s belief in the importance of the community and cultural role that public occasions can play when built on genuine participation and shared identity. Al-Yafei said: “The great interaction and diverse, large attendance we witnessed during this evening confirm that society is still searching for events close to people’s hearts, offering them an opportunity to meet and celebrate in an atmosphere that carries values and meanings beyond traditional entertainment.
