Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has registered a violation by a restaurant in Muaither. The outlet was found using subsidised food supplies for trade in violation of the law banning sale of such supplies.
Subsidies ratios are allocated for Qatari citizens and distributed using IDs and their sale in restaurants and other retails is against the aim of distribution, the ministry said in a statement yesterday.
During a raid, Ministry inspectors found that the restaurant was serving Tamween Qatar full cream evaporated milk. The manager has referred to the security authorities for legal actions. According to the ministry, inspection raids aim to ensure the compliance of retail outlets and shops and restaurants with regulations governing commercial activities and crack down on violations. The Ministry urged customers to filer their complaints through the official contact addresses of the ministry Twitter, Instagram, and email or telephone contact.
