Premier reviews services of Sidra outpatient clinics

Doha: Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani yesterday visited the outpatient clinics of Sidra Medical and Research Centre, a member of Qatar Foundation.
He listened to a briefing by officials on the services of the new clinics that include specialisations of paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, surgery, radiology, anaesthesiology and pathology and modern technical equipment. Qatar News Agency reports.
The Premier also visited the paediatric clinic, its examination rooms, diagnostic radiology clinic and chamber of tomography imaging and 3D printing.
He visited the obstetrics and gynaecology clinic and toured the examination, diagnosis and ultrasonic rooms, and inspected the state-of-the-art medical technologies on offer for the patients.
The Premier also inaugurated the first phase of the electronic security shield project at the National Command Centre headquarters.
Ministers, officials and directors of Interior Ministry’s departments were present.
The project seeks to increase the level of electronic security in Qatar and enhance IT infrastructure and electronic network protection.
The project’s electronic security operation room will focus on assisting institutions and entities and protect IT infrastructure against electronic security threats, and cooperate with authorities to enact security policies and provide electronic security training and consultancy. The room will also provide advanced levels of protection to other security operations centres in the country.
It will undertake tasks, including surveillance of IT infrastructure in government agencies and institutions to detect and analyse cyber threats and respond to cyber incidents and enhance access to cybersecurity status quo in the country.
It will also build expertise and specialised Qatari personnel in electronic security field and cooperate with international partners to exchange information on cyber threats and respond to incidents that require global coordination.
