DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has approved 93 energy efficient air conditioner brands, ahead of a ban on conventional ACs to be enforced from July 1.
The Qatar General Authority for Specifications and Standardization (QS) at the Ministry has received applications for registering 198 brands under the new regulation, of which 105 have been rejected for failing to meet standards and specifications, Qatar News Agency reported
