Paris--Europe's main markets closed mixed on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index of top companies finishing down 0.44 percent at 6,953.58 points.
In the eurozone, the CAC 40 in Paris rose 0.35 percent to end the day at 5,025.30 points, and Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.19 percent to close at 11,436.05 points.
