Sanskriti Qatar conducted a seminar on ‘Understanding Indian Consumer Rights’ at Skills Development Centre recently. General Secretary of Sanskriti Qatar, P N Baburajan, welcomed the gathering. The seminar was addressed by A D Benny, a prominent legal advisor and social worker, who said Indian expatriates were being exploited because of their carelessness and lack of awareness. He said the public showed more interest in following and being up to date on the cricket spot-fixing scandal rather than on cracking down on doctors who practise with a fake certificate or institutions responsible for the fake documents. Pramod Chandran, former president of Sanskriti Qatar, presented Benny with an award in recognition of his services to society.
