DOHA: Bart de Vries, President, International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has announced that individuals and agencies in Qatar have the opportunity to submit entries to IPRA to participate in the Golden World Awards for Excellence (GWA) until May 16.
In a letter to Jassim Fakhroo, Board Member, IPRA, De Vries said all agencies and practitioners of PR may review conditions of participation in the award on IPRA website (www.ipra.org). He said IPRA is in its ninth week of GWA 2016 and open to receive late entries. “There are separate awards for agencies and in-house.
“Subscribers need not to be members of IPRA. They should only demonstrate quality and excellence. And the association, to date, has received a large number of entries in all categories.
“Thus, we are expecting to welcome a huge number of participants from Qatar, GCC and ME,” he added.
“Each year, a jury of about 60 PR professionals from 40 countries judge the entries and nominates the best for a short-list. In a next step, the final winners are selected on the basis of unique merit, relevance, concrete objectives, creative strategies and tactics, and demonstrable results,” Fakhroo said.
Fakhroo said the award includes 30 categories in different areas of public relations for agencies and individuals, such as: Business-to-business; Communication Research ; Community Relations; Consumer PR; Corporate communications; Corporate responsibility; Digital Media Relations; Research Management; Event management; Environmental Excellence; Event management; Financial services & investor relations; Healthcare; and Integration of tradition.
