Doha: Qatar Tennis Federation is hosting the first Qatar ITF Future 2014 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. 32 players from more than 20 countries are competing for eight spots in to the main draw which began yesterday.
This event, the first of a three-week ITF Men’s Circuit series, will continue untill April 5.
The tournament is a high calibre event hosted by the QTF and attracts a large number of players who are seeking to gain more points to on the ITF and ATP Tours.
Qatar Tennis Federation is giving four wild-cards to play in the main draw for national team players including Moussa Shanan, Ali Abdel Reda, Jasssim Zeyara and Mubarak Shanan and three wildcards in doubles for Moussa Shanan, Ali Abdel Reda and Mubarak Shanan.
Saad Al Mohannadi, QTF Executive Director and the Tournament Director, said: “QTF is proud of the continued organization for the Futures events and we expect high level competitions with the high-ranked players who came to play in Doha from all over the world and we wish our National Team Players can take this chance to achieve successful results during this event.’
