Doha, Qatar: Certain overhead lines in the southern area of the Kuwait National Power Grid went out of service after debris from one of the intercepted drones fell onto the network.

This led to a temporary disturbance in the electrical grid and a partial power outage in several scattered areas, according to the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Engineer Fatima Hayat.

She explained that the emergency response teams began their work immediately after the incident, and are currently assessing the damage and carrying out the necessary repairs to restore electricity to the affected areas as quickly as possible.

Engineer Hayat affirmed that the electricity and water situation in the country remains under control, and that electricity generation and water desalination systems are operating with high efficiency. Monitoring and follow-up continue around the clock to ensure the stability and continuity of services without interruption, she added.

The Ministry urged citizens and residents to verify accuracy and obtain information only from official sources, confirming its commitment to keeping the public informed of any developments as they occur.
