Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Social Development and Family has wrapped up a two-week ‘Workforce Integration Program for People with Disabilities,’ delivered with Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), founded by Qatar Foundation (QF), at Multaqa (Education City Student Center) from 16–30 November 2025.

Run by the Ministry’s Community Care Department, the Arabic-language course, supported by sign-language interpretation, served 15 participants aged 18–35 with mild physical or intellectual disabilities and Deaf participants. Candidates were drawn from the Ministry’s database and met criteria including high-school graduation, employment status, and demonstrated motivation.

Over three sessions per week, trainees built work readiness, produced cover letters and CVs, developed personal profiles, and received individual performance assessments, with reported gains in confidence, communication, and job-entry skills.

Reem Al Ajmi, Director of the Community Care Department, said the programme “is a concrete step toward integrating and empowering people with disabilities in the labor market and supporting their economic and social independence,” adding that similar initiatives will continue to advance equal opportunity.

Saad Abdulla Al-Kharji, Executive Director of QCDC, said: “This programme is a strategic building block in QCDC’s efforts to move young people with disabilities from classrooms to real jobs. In close partnership with the Ministry, we align abilities with market needs and encourage inclusive hiring, strengthening human capital in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.”

This initiative aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, which emphasises building a cohesive society capable of achieving sustainable development.
