Doha, Qatar: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Paul Kagame, President of the friendly Republic of Rwanda, discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them, during a meeting held at the Amiri Diwan today, May 24, 2026.
At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed the Rwandan President, commending the strong relations between Qatar and Rwanda in various fields of cooperation that serve the common interests of the two countries.
For his part, HE President of Rwanda extended his thanks and expressed his appreciation to HH the Amir for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, stressing his country's keenness to develop and strengthen friendly relations with the State of Qatar in many fields.
HH the Amir and HE Rwandan President discussed the latest regional and international developments, in addition to ways to enhance international peace and security.
A number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials attended the meeting.
On the Rwandan side, a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation attended the meeting.
